Manyano House: God's Sovereign Presence

Do not be afraid, I am with you! I am Your God, let nothing terrify you! I will make you strong and help you; I will protect you and save you.                                                                                                                                                                                                Isaiah 41: 10

You are in a safe place, and you are loved.

Let go of your anxieties. God hears your prayers. Invite Him into the situation you are dealing with. Meditate on those things that give you hope in Jesus.

  • In His comfort when I feel uncertain of the future
  • In His willingness to die on the cross for me
  • In His resurrection power.

You may pray about anything; nothing is too big or too small for God to answer. This may assist you in prayer:

Loving Father, You know my story so well. You authored its beginning, middle, and end. Help me to never forget the sacrifice of Your Son, so that I may remember Your faithfulness, especially when I run out of words. In Jesus’ powerful name, Amen.

What does ‘manyano’ mean?

Manyano, derived from isiXhosa and aptly meaning Unity, is the baby of the boarding houses and the brainchild of former Headmistress Ms Shelley Frayne. This beautiful home was acquired in 2018 and renovated to house the Grade 8 girls under one roof. Externally, Manyano is an elegant lady of a building, while internally, it is airy and modern in its design and finishes.

The girls will agree that Manyano instils deep-rooted friendships and lasting connections. Being separate from the rest of the houses also prepares them for a seamless transition to senior schooling.
