Espin House: Children of God

Yet to all who did receive Him, to those who believed in His name, He gave the right to become children of God.                                                                                        John 1:12

Welcome! Breathe slowly and deeply. Allow the following prompts to lead you into a meaningful conversation with God.

As a child of God, how has He been faithful to you?

  • He answered my prayer for…
  • He fulfilled His promise when He…
  • He has provided me with all I need, like…

You matter to God. He wants to hear from you.

Spend some time in prayer.

Dear Loving Father, Your greatness knows no comparison! You alone are the epitome of goodness and worthy of all praise!

I am grateful to You for creating me, for calling me by name, and for assigning me purpose. Your willingness to reveal Yourself to humanity fills me with awe and wonder. I am overwhelmed by Your humility, kindness, and grace.

All glory, honour, and power belong to You alone! Hallelujah! Amen.

Espin’s story

Espin House has been home to many Old Girls, and its walls have witnessed much laughter, many secrets, and its fair share of tears. Espin is nestled in the heart of the school campus.

Espin House was originally an extension of the earliest boarding house, Merriman House. Throughout its history, Espin has hosted a rich tapestry of activities. Once, it relished in the laughter of pre-schoolers while simultaneously serving as the administrative hub – housing offices, including the Head’s office, and hosting various classrooms.

In 2018, Espin House welcomed a new wing tailored for Grade 11 and Grade 12 students. This addition boasted two-bedroom dormitories, modern ablutions, and a harmonious communal space.

Espin’s secluded garden invites the girls to rest on its benches and catch up on the day’s activities. This tranquil spot is home to study sessions, Snapchats and an occasional meal.
