BOWLS & BANTER - Makhanda 24 Mar 23

Our 150th

Bowls & Banter - Makhanda evening at the Grahamstown Albany Club on the 24th of March

It was an evening of great vibes, good banter, bad bowls, lots of laughs & a couple of beers!

Greg and Barbs Comline (current parents) won a well-deserved prize for the team with the most “gees” – they showed resilience and true grit, refusing to remove their enormous dinosaur outfits the entire evening!

Best dressed went to the made up of current parents and Old Girls Al and Jenny Reynold’s (nee Alexander ’95) and Jonny and Beryl Lamb (need Hockly ’95).  They went to an exceptional effort with their customised team kit!

Finally, the dynamic and talented team from Settler City won a bucket of beer; the novice judges decided they were the only team that appeared to have the gear, and some idea what they were doing!

Owing to the success of the Guild’s Bowls & Banter evening, we are delighted to announce that WE WILL BE COMING TO A BOWLS CLUB NEAR YOU!

Bowls & Banter will be going ON TOUR; we look forward to bringing our Old Girls & extended community together  – what a wonderful way to connect and have fun.

Thank you to all who made the evening a great jol
Until next time…
En Avant !
